The Springfield High School Blue Devil Band & Guard program is seeking a Color Guard/Winter Guard Director for the 2022-23 school year.
The Springfield HS Marching Band competes in OMEA events in the fall in Class A and received superior ratings at the 2021 OMEA State Marching Band Finals. The Winter Guard competes in OIPA & WGI in Scholastic A.
Responsibilities of the director include:
- Be in attendance for all summer and school year rehearsals.
- Be in attendance for all public performances/competitions.
- Oversee other guard staff as necessary.
- Other related duties as assigned by the Director of Bands.
This is an extracurricular/supplemental position paid by the school district according to the District Supplemental Pay Scale. An Ohio Department of Education Pupil Activity Permit will be required for employment.
