Sebastian River High School is seeking a qualified, energetic color guard director for the 2022-23 school year. The desired candidate has successful experience teaching in both the marching band and indoor color guard areas. Previous director-level experience is preferred. The position is funded by the SRHS Band Boosters with a competitive salary based upon the candidates qualifications. Individuals with degrees in education may also seek a teaching position within the School District of Indian River County or at Sebastian River High School.
The SRHS band and color guard programs compete in BOA and FBMC circuits. The band was named an Orlando Regional Finalist in 2021 and has been named Grand Champions at numerous FBMC events. The color guard competes in the Florida Federation of Colorguards Circuit and has won numerous medals competing the Scholastic A and Open classes. The winterguard was a WGI Finalist in the Scholastic A class in 2019.
